• Applications for the Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ Ross Sea Antarctica open at inspiringexplorers.co.nz

Monday 7 October 2024

• Applications close at midnight (NZDT)

Friday 25 October 2024

• By this date, applicants will be notified about their advancement to the interview stage.

Tuesday 29 October – Friday 1 November 2024

• Online interviews conducted with Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ selection panel.

Tuesday 5 November 2024

• By this date, applicants will be notified about their inclusion in the Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ team.

Friday 22 – Monday 25 November 2024

• Team Building weekend in Christchurch (NZ) which expedition team members are required to attend.

Tuesday 7 January – Tuesday 4 February 2025

• Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ Ross Sea Antarctica takes place.

Friday 11 – Sunday 13 April 2025

• Post expedition debrief weekend which expedition team members are required to attend.
• Outreach – This is also the deadline for team members to have written a blog about the expedition for publication on the Trust’s website.

4 August 2025

• Individual outreach deadline – Team members are required to deliver three presentations about the expedition to groups or organisations in their community within 6 months of returning home.

Throughout 2025

• Work to deliver the group outreach project, a podcast series about the expedition and the Trust’s work to safeguard Antarctica’s important cultural heritage. Project timeline to be developed with the team once selected.
